Dr. Cai, Ning

Associate Professor, School of Automation Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China

Biography: Ning Cai received the B.E. degree in Control Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1996, the M.S. degree in Computer Science from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in Control Theory from Tsinghua University in 2010. He was shortly with Tianjin Polytechnic University and Tsinghua University from 2010 to 2011. From 2011 to 2018, he was with Northwest University for Nationalities as an Associate Professor. Since 2018, he has been with Beijing University of Posts & Telecommunications. His current research interest focuses on the robust control and analysis of dynamical complex systems. Dr. Cai authors over 20 academic papers published in various international journals. He serves as an editorial member of Complexity and PLoS One, a Lead-Guest-Editor for J. Control Sci. Eng. and Adv. Mech. Eng., a senior member of Chinese Association of Automation (CAA), and a member of both the professional boards on Hybrid Intelligence and Parallel Intelligence in CAA. He received the 2018 Publons award for top reviewers in engineering, and was selected as Young Talent for State Ethic Affairs Commission (SEAC) of China in 2013.



Prof. Dr. Chi-Hua Chen

College of Mathematics and Computer Science, Fuzhou University, China

Biography: Chi-Hua Chen is a distinguished professor (a Minjiang scholar and a Qishan scholar) for the College of Mathematics and Computer Science of Fuzhou University and a chair professor for the Navigation College of Dalian Maritime University. He received his B.S. degree from the Department of Management Information Systems of National Pingtung University of Science and Technology in 2007, a M.S. degree from the Institute of Information Management of National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) in 2009, and a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Information Management and Finance of NCTU in 2013. Furthermore, he served as an assistant professor for National Tsing Hua University, NCTU, National Taipei University, and National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology.

He also served as a research fellow for the Telecommunication Laboratories of Chunghwa Telecom Co. Ltd. He has published over 240 academic articles and 50 patents. Some of these academic articles were published in IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEICE Transactions, SIGIR, WWW, etc. He has hosted several projects which are funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Fujian Province, etc. He serves as a Guest Editor-in-Chief for several SCI-indexed journals (e.g. International Journal of Ad Hoc and Ubiquitous Computing, etc.). He served as a Guest Editor-in-Chief for several SCI-indexed journals (e.g. EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, etc.). He served as a Guest Editor for several SCI-indexed journals (e.g. Electronics, etc.). He is also currently serving as a member of the editorial boards of several SCI-indexed journals (e.g. IEEE Access, etc.). Furthermore, he joins several academic and industry organizations and serves as a fellow of Cambridge International Academics, a senior member of IEEE and a director of Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Engineering Society. His recent research interests include Internet of things, deep learning, big data, cellular networks, data mining, and intelligent transportation systems.

Prof. Tingrui Liu

Biography: Professor Liu has long been engaged in the research on new energy process control, intelligent control and advanced control methods, vibration control and numerical simulation technology for composite blade, smart material actuator such as piezoelectric actuator and shape memory alloy actuator, as well as the research of micro-vibration measurement and advanced optical detection technology. He has won the candidate nomination for Eni Award 2014 in renewable energy field, due to the research of stall nonlinear flutter of large-scale composite blades and the computer simulation technology of nonlinear large-scale systems.

Biography: Dr. Reda Hassanien is an Associate Professor at Cairo University; Faculty of Agriculture- Agricultural Engineering Department, His expertise is mainly related to Agricultural Bio-environment and Energy Engineering, Environmental Control in Greenhouses (natural and mechanical ventilation, Cooling and Heating systems) and Effects of sound waves on plants. Moreover, Solar Energy Applications in the Agricultural Sector (Agro photovoltaics, Solar cooling and heating systems).

Research Interests: Agricultural Bio-environment and Energy Engineering, Environmental Control in Greenhouses (natural and mechanical ventilation, Cooling and Heating systems and Effects of sound waves on plants, renewable energy Applications, particularly Solar Energy application in the Agricultural Sector (Agro –photovoltaics, solar cooling and heating systems)



Dr. Saad Ahmed Javed

Biography: Dr. S. A. Javed is an associate professor at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Nanjing, P. R. China. He is known for his pioneering work on Inverse Grey Relational Analysis. His works have been recognized by Nature Index and Transparency International. His areas of interest include energy economics, supply chain management, sustainable development, mathematical modelling, grey system theory, forecasting and intelligent decision making.



Dr. Yanbin Wang

Biography: Dr. WANG Yanbin is an assistant professor in the department of Industrial Design at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), Nanjing, China. Before joining NUAA in 2016, he worked as a research engineer at R&D Center of EON Reality in Singapore from 2012 to 2015. He was a research fellow of Institute for Media Innovation at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from 2010 to 2012. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degree from Beihang University and Tsinghua University respectively. His research interests include human computer interaction, ergonomics, and virtual reality.

Dr. Elisa Marrasso

Research Fellow, University of Sannio, Benevento, Italy

Biography: Dr. Elisa MARRASSO was born in Benevento, Italy, in 1987. She received her Bachelor Degree and Master Degree in Energy Engineering at University of Sannio, Benevento (Italy) in 2010 and 2013, respectively. She obtained Ph.D. in “Information Engineering- Curriculum Energy and Environment” from University of Sannio on March 2018. She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Department of Engineering at University of Sannio. Her research interests focus on theoretical and experimental studies concerning the hybrid distributed polygeneration systems and solar cooling and heating systems in civil applications. Recently, she started a research activity on "electricity generation and trasmission system" aimed to define its energy and enevironmentl performance on the basis of real data. She has authored more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, moreover, she is a reviewer of various International journals. She has supervised fifteen students of master course, seven of bachelor course in Energy Engineering at University of Sannio and one student from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the framework of “MIT Independent Activity Program (IAP) 2018”.

Dr. Maryam EL MAROUANI

Biography: Maryam EL MAROUANI is an Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry in Hafr Al-Batin University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Born in Morocco on February 1992. Prior to coming to Hafr Al-Batin, she was a Visiting Instructor at Mohammed V University of Morocco. Maryam received her B.A. in chemistry from Mohammed V University, her Master degree in Analytical and Environmental Sciences from Mohammed V University jointly accredited by Paul Sabatier University of France and her Ph.D. from Mohammed V University in Physical Chemistry.

Research Interests: thermochemistry, adsorption, corrosion and other physical chemistry courses, dry wastes management and energetic valorization of biomass, thermochemical behavior of lingo-cellulosic materials, biofuel production from biomass, modeling and simulation of degradation kinetics, and physico-chemical investigations, water treatment by adsorption using low cost adsorbents
